Here’s what will and won’t be closed on Guam for Presidents Day Monday, February 16, 2026:

📍 1. Federal Services (because it’s a U.S. federal holiday)

Even though Guam’s local government doesn’t treat Presidents Day as an official local government holiday, many U.S. federal services observe it — so those will be closed:

  • 🇺🇸 U.S. Postal Service (all post offices) — retail counters and regular mail delivery closed. You can still use online tools and self-service kiosks where available.

  • Some federal courts/military offices may follow the federal holiday schedule and close.

📍 2. Banks and Financial Services

Banks often choose to observe federal holidays even in Guam:

  • Many banks and branch lobbies will be closed on Presidents Day, with ATMs and online services still available.

📍 3. Schools & Local Government in Guam

  • Public schools and most local government offices are expected to be open because Governors and the Government of Guam do not list Presidents Day as a local holiday in 2026.

📍 4. Private Businesses, Stores, and Restaurants

  • Most stores, restaurants, shops, and private businesses generally stay open on Presidents Day in Guam — unless they choose to close voluntarily.
