The University of Guam has extended the open call for bands to compete in the UOG Charter Day Blue Night Battle of the Bands, giving local musicians a few more days to take their shot at the spotlight — and up to $1,000 in cash prizes.
Originally set to close earlier, the application deadline has now been extended to February 27, offering interested bands additional time to sign up for one of Charter Day’s most anticipated evening events.
The Blue Night Battle of the Bands will take place on March 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., bringing high-energy performances to campus as part of the University’s Charter Day celebration. The event promises a dynamic showcase of Guam’s diverse musical talent, with bands competing live for bragging rights and top cash awards.
With cash prizes totaling up to $1,000 on the line, the competition is expected to draw a strong lineup of performers representing a range of genres — from rock and alternative to pop, R&B, reggae, and beyond.
Bands interested in competing must submit their information by February 27. To enter, email advancement@triton.uog.edu with your band’s details and contact information.
Blue Night has become a signature part of UOG Charter Day festivities, creating a vibrant space for student musicians and community artists alike to perform in front of a live audience. Organizers encourage both emerging and established bands to apply.
