Mix 96 announces new afternoon show featuring Reese the Beast

There’s a new sound coming to afternoons on Guam.

Mix 96 is expanding its weekday programming lineup with the launch of “The Flip Side with Reese the Beast,” a brand-new afternoon show airing Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The launch also marks a new chapter for popular radio personality Reese the Beast, who will be leaving The Morning Blender to take the reins of her own weekday show.

Known for her big personality, quick wit and unmistakable energy on the air, Reese has become a familiar voice to Mix 96 listeners. Now, she’s bringing that personality to afternoon drive with a show built entirely around her.

The Flip Side will bring together the music Mix 96 listeners love with entertainment, pop culture, trending topics, listener interaction, everyday conversations and Reese’s unique take on whatever has Guam talking.

The result is a fast-moving, personality-driven show designed for that part of the day when Guam is getting off work, heading home, picking up the kids or getting the evening started.

And at the center of it all is Reese.

“This is an exciting next step not only for Reese, but for Mix 96,” said Mix 96 President Kyle Mandapat. “Reese connects with people on such a human level, and to have that energy with you in the car on the way home is win for our listeners, sponsors and programming. She is going to shake things up and bring a wild and fun show to the air.”

The move to afternoons gives Reese a new platform to showcase more of her personality, creativity and connection with listeners while developing The Flip Side into a signature show of its own.

For Mix 96, it also represents the continued evolution of a station focused on building a lineup of recognizable local personalities and programming made specifically for Guam.

Since its launch, Mix 96 has worked to create a radio experience that combines the biggest hits of the 2000s, 2010s and today with new music, entertainment, contests, community involvement and local personalities.

The addition of The Flip Side expands that vision even further.
